Saturday morning, Mar. 1, from 9 to 11am, The Alexander Quartet will adjudicate the 20th Annual BCMS Young Artist String Quartet Competitions in the Morrison Center Recital Hall. Three high school and two collegiate string quartets will perform short programs including works by Ravel, Shostakovich, Prokofiev, Smetana, Beethoven, Mozart, Haydn, and George Walker. Participating schools include Boise High, Timberline High, and BYU-Idaho. 

Come be inspired by youthful music-making on a high level, with carefully prepared, professional repertoire, performed with excitement and enthusiasm. This event, courtesy of the Boise Chamber Music Series and the Department of Music, is free and open to the public.
